Shah Rukh Khan is back with a bang in his latest film Jawan, which is set to release on September 7, 2023. The trailer of the film, which was released earlier today, has created a huge buzz among the fans and the critics alike. The trailer showcases Shah Rukh Khan in multiple avatars, from a former soldier to a train hijacker to a wrestler. The film also features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. Here are eight highlights of the Jawan trailer that you should not miss.


1. Shah Rukh Khan’s Alia Bhatt Reference

One of the most talked-about scenes in the trailer is when Shah Rukh Khan, who plays a train hijacker, demands Alia Bhatt as his ransom. This dialogue is an ode to the actress, who has worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Dear Zindagi and Brahmastra.

Alia Bhatt also reacted to the reference on Insta stories and wrote, “Aur poori duniya ko chahiye sirf SRK!!!!”

2. Deepika Padukone’s Cameo Appearance

Another surprise element in the trailer is the cameo appearance of Deepika Padukone who first makes an appearance in a saree first and then fighting Shah Rukh Khan on a muddy floor in the middle of a rainy night. “Haar jaoge,” she says to Shah Rukh Khan, to which the actor responds, “Haar toh mai pehle hi gaya that.” Soon after, the actress defeats Shah Rukh in a cinematic fight. Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan have shared screen space in films like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year and more recently, Pathaan!

3. Shah Rukh Khan’s Multiple Looks In Jawan Trailer

Shah Rukh Khan has donned multiple looks in Jawan, which are revealed in the trailer. He is seen as a former soldier, a train hijacker who wears a mask and a hoodie. He is also seen as a wrestler and also seen donning a handlebar moustache. He alternates between playing the good guy and the bad guy.  Since it is known that SRK has dual roles in the movie – he plays the father and the son. It seems like one is a dutiful cop whereas the father is a soldier-turned-vigilante. 


4. Nayanthara’s Bollywood Debut As A Cop

Nayanthara, who is one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema, makes her Hindi film debut with Jawan. She plays a police officer who is assigned to catch Shah Rukh Khan’s character. She is seen chasing him throughout the trailer and also having some romantic moments with him. It seems like she is trying to bluff her partner in order to get more details about his father who is a known vigilante. She works with Sunil Grover’s character who gives intel into the life of the vigilante. Nayanthara looks stunning and confident in her role and has dubbed her own lines in Hindi.

5. Vijay Sethupathi’s Villainous Act

Vijay Sethupathi, who is one of the most versatile actors in Tamil cinema, plays the main antagonist in Jawan. He plays a ruthless terrorist and has a personal vendetta against Shah Rukh Khan’s character. From a young gangster to an older version, he looks menacing and powerful in his role and has also dubbed his own lines in Hindi.


6. Shah Rukh Khan’s Action Scenes

Shah Rukh Khan, who is known for his romantic and comedy roles, has experimented with a different genre in Jawan. He has performed some high-octane action scenes in the film, such as jumping from a moving train, fighting with goons, wrestling with Deepika Padukone and shooting at enemies. He has also undergone a physical transformation for the film and looks fit and muscular.

Shah Rukh Khan is known for his witty and catchy dialogues, and Jawan is no exception. The trailer is filled with some memorable lines that showcase his charisma and attitude. 8. Background Score In Jawan Trailer

The music and the background score of Jawan are composed by Anirudh, who is one of the most celebrated music directors in India. The background score is thrilling and gripping and enhances the impact of the trailer.
