Shah Rukh Khan has donned multiple looks in Jawan, which are revealed in the trailer. He is seen as a former soldier, a train hijacker who wears a mask and a hoodie. Nayanthara, who is one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema, makes her Hindi film debut with Jawan. She plays a police officer who is assigned to catch Shah Rukh Khan’s character. She is seen chasing him throughout the trailer and also having some romantic moments with him. It seems like she is trying to bluff her partner in order to get more details about his father who is a known vigilante. She works with Sunil Grover’s character who gives intel into the life of the vigilante. Nayanthara looks stunning and confident in her role and has dubbed her own lines in Hindi.

Vijay Sethupathi, who is one of the most versatile actors in Tamil cinema, plays the main antagonist in Jawan.
