Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who is known for his versatile roles in Tamil cinema, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Jawan, a highly anticipated action thriller. The actor will be seen as the main antagonist opposite Shah Rukh Khan, who reportedly plays a dual role in the film. Jawan is directed by Atlee and stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in the lead roles.
According to sources, Vijay Sethupathi recently shot for a special promo video for Jawan in Mumbai, which will be released soon to create a buzz around the film. The source said, “Sethupathi had been shooting for Vetri Maaran’s Viduthalai 2. He also has a web series with Kaaka Muttai Manikandan, which is currently progressing at a brisk pace. Amidst this, he shot for a promo for Jawan in Mumbai.”
Shah Rukh Khan And Vijay Sethupathi Share A Warm Bond
In an earlier interview, Vijay Sethupathi had revealed that he was nervous on the first day of Jawan shoot, but Shah Rukh Khan made him comfortable. He said, “He was very sweet. It was a very good experience. I was a bit nervous on the first day, because he is a very big artiste, but he made me very comfortable. He didn’t have a scene on that day, but he was there to make me feel comfortable. He is very sweet; I can discuss with him. He is a gentleman; I really had a good time with Shah Rukh sir.”
Jawan Promises To Be A High-Octane Entertainer
Jawan is expected to be a high-octane entertainer with exciting multiple looks of SRK and stunning action sequences. The film marks an exciting first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee, and is slated to hit the theatres on September 7, 2023. The film also features Nayanthara as the female lead, making it her first Hindi film as well. The star cast also includes Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, and Riddhi Dogra among others. The music of the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who is also making his Bollywood debut with this project.
Jawan is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
