After Sikandar, Another Big Salman Khan Film in the Works
After his Eid 2025 blockbuster Sikandar, Salman Khan is already working on another big movie. The actor is about to roll an Apoorva Lakhia-directed film based on the book India’s Most Fearless 3, and according to unconfirmed reports, the business behemoth Jio Studios is in advanced discussions to come on as the studio partner — this would be Jio’s first major production deal with the superstar.
Jio Studios + Salman Khan = A New Era?
There have already been discussions between Jio Studios and Apoorva Lakhia, according to sources. Even though the deal isn’t signed yet, insiders are hopeful that Jio Studios will join in once all production elements and budgets have been put together after the Ladakh recce.
“Jio Studios views this as a story that needs to be told and what better movie to make it with Salman Khan involved. This will have box office appeal and will have the feel good factor of being patriotic,” explained a source.
If this deal is finalised, it will be Salman Khan and Jio Studios’ first official movie together.
Although Salman had a special appearance in Jio’s Baby John (starring Varun Dhawan), this will be his first full-length lead project with Jio. Ironically, the two nearly collaborated for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah — a film which was even announced but never went into production.
All Eyes On Ladakh: Apoorva Lakhia Heads For Recce
Apoorva Lakhia — best known for Shootout at Lokhandwala — is currently readying to take this military drama to the next level. He is expected to travel to Ladakh on May 20 for a long recce in order to finalise locations for filming, which is expected to begin in July 2025 with an ambitious schedule in Ladakh and Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker has already finished construction of a new base in Fun Republic Lane, Andheri, and is working day and night to ensure this project is mounted on the largest scale possible.
“Apoorva is adamant this film is as honorable to the real-life events in the 2020 Galwan Valley as possible. With Salman portraying an army officer for the first time in his career, the tone will be respectful and motivating,” the insider added.

BoxOfficeWorldwide Verdict
With Salman Khan donning the uniform for a patriotic thriller and Jio Studios possibly backing the vision, this untitled film based on the Galwan conflict is certainly shaping up to be the BIG cinematic event of 2026. It is a first-time partnership that has true potential, and if done right, could take big-screen patriotism into a new era after Uri. It’s all on the dotted line now — and Ladakh.
