John Abraham’s Vedaa Certification Delayed By CBFC, Makers Express Disappointment – Will It Affect The Film’s Aug 15 Release?

Vedaa makers issued official statement stating that they are yet to get the clearance from CBFC. The release of John Abraham starrer seems uncertain.

John Abraham and Sharvari’s much-anticipated film Vedaa was set to hit theatres on August 15. However, the movie is currently in a state of uncertainty due to delays in receiving clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

On Thursday, the film’s makers issued a formal statement addressing the situation and urging for swift action to ensure the film meets its intended release date.

‘Disappointed’ Vedaa Makers ISSUE Official Statement

The official statement from the Vedaa production team expressed frustration and urgency. “We, the producers of Vedaa, feel compelled to share with our fans and supporters that despite our best efforts, we are still to secure a clearance and certification from the CBFC of India,” the statement read.

It also noted that the film was submitted for review eight weeks before its planned release. The production house had arranged a screening on June 25, which was followed by an appeal to the examining committee. Since then, there has been no update or response regarding the certification status.

The statement further highlighted the producers’ hopes for resolution: “It is our earnest request and wish that these words reach those who are able to help us resolve and dissipate this impasse and have our film certified.”

Their statement showed the significance of the August 15 release date, referencing the successful releases of previous films Satyamev Jayate and Batla House on the same date.

About Vedaa

Produced by Aseem Arora and supported by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment, Vedaa features a star-studded cast including Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Kshitij Chauhan in key roles.

The producers emphasised the film’s quality and relevance, stating, “Vedaa is a powerful, out-and-out entertaining film, inspired by current events. We believe it deserves to reach its audience. It is our sincere endeavour that we will be able to keep our appointment with you.”

As the August 15 release date approaches, the question remains: Will Vedaa make it to theatres on schedule, or will the CBFC delays force a postponement? Fans and industry watchers are eagerly waiting for updates.
