The stage is set for one of the biggest courtroom battles in Bollywood history! Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, is all set to hit theatres this Friday, September 19. The film, which is one of the most awaited movies of the year, has completed its censor formalities way in advance, and we have all the exclusive details.
The film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and fans can now get a clearer picture of what to expect.
Passed With A U/A Rating And Minor Changes
The good news for the makers and the audience is that Jolly LLB 3 has been passed with a U/A 16+ rating, making it accessible to a wide family audience. The CBFC requested a few minor modifications that reportedly do not affect the film’s main story at all. The final approved runtime of the film is 157.16 minutes, which means audiences are in for a solid 2 hours, 37 minutes, and 16 seconds of courtroom comedy and drama.
A Look At The Modifications Made
The changes suggested by the censor board are mostly minor trims and adjustments. The board asked for the removal of the word ‘f****r’ wherever it was used. A scene showing cops assaulting an old man was also suitably modified to tone down the violence. Other changes include blurring an alcohol brand, modifying a logo, and replacing a dialogue in the second half. These standard modifications ensure the film aligns with the guidelines for its U/A rating while keeping the core narrative intact.
All Set For A Grand Release
With the censor certificate in hand, Jolly LLB 3 is on track for a massive release this Friday. The excitement is already sky-high to see the two Jollies, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, face off for the first time. The film also sees the return of the beloved Judge Tripathi, played by Saurabh Shukla. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, who helmed the first two blockbuster films, the movie promises to be a perfect blend of the humour and drama that the franchise is famous for.
