Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Box Office Collection Day 4: Anime Film Nears ₹45 Crore Despite A Major Drop On Monday

The Japanese anime sensation, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, has hit its first major hurdle at the Indian Box Office. After a phenomenal opening weekend, the film saw a significant drop in its collections on its first Monday, a day that is considered a crucial test for any movie’s long-term success.

Despite the drop, the film is still putting up impressive numbers and is on track to hit a major milestone. The movie’s gross collection in India has already crossed the ₹50 crore mark, a massive achievement for an animated film.

The Crucial Monday Litmus Test

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle , also known as Akaza’s Return, collected ₹3.5 crore on its fourth day. This is a considerable fall compared to its weekend earnings. While the film may have failed the Monday test, its total net collection now stands at a strong ₹44.5 crore. Trade analysts predict that the movie will comfortably cross the ₹50 crore net mark within the next two days, before its second Friday begins.

A Look At The Box Office Numbers

The film started its journey with a bang, holding strong through the weekend before the Monday drop. The day-wise net collections in India are as follows:

  • Friday: ₹13 crore
  • Saturday: ₹13 crore
  • Sunday: ₹14.5 crore
  • Monday: ₹3.5 crore
  • Total Net Collection: ₹44.5 crore

How Is The Audience Reacting?

The word-of-mouth for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has been largely positive, especially from its massive fanbase. The film is receiving unanimous praise for its breathtaking animation and visual effects, which are considered world-class. However, some reports suggest that non-anime fans, while impressed with the visuals, have found the story in this particular part to be a bit slow or “dragged.” Nonetheless, the overall positive reception has been the driving force behind its blockbuster run so far.
