Jr Ntr Threatens Legal Action Over Janhvi Kapoor Chuttamalle Deepfake, Slams Ai Abuse

Jr NTR has come down hard on a morphed, sexually explicit video built around Devara: Part 1 song Chuttamalle, calling it “disgusting, sick and shameless” and warning of legal action against both its creators and those sharing it online. The manipulated clip, which uses AI to alter visuals of him and Janhvi Kapoor, has sparked immediate outrage and pushed the conversation back to how quickly mainstream film footage can be turned into abusive fake content.

Jr Ntr Condemns The Deepfake

In a post on X on October 3, Jr NTR did not mince words. He wrote, “Disgusting, Sick and Shameless.” He added, “In a land that worships women as mothers and goddesses, where “Matrudevo Bhava” is not just a phrase but a part of our culture, some people have fallen so low that they are using AI to disrespect a woman in the most degrading way possible.” The actor also urged people not to watch or circulate the clip and said, “I will take every possible legal action against those who created it and anyone who shares or encourages it.”

His statement made clear that the issue would not be brushed aside as routine online trolling.

Janhvi Kapoor also threatens legal action

Janhvi Kapoor has also spoken out against the manipulated video. According to Moneycontrol, the actor described the circulation of AI-generated fake videos as disturbing and urged people not to create, share or promote such material. She said legal action would be taken against those involved. The controversy has also drawn support from other actors. Vijay Deverakonda backed NTR’s statement and called for serious consequences for those responsible. The News Minute reported that Deverakonda described such manipulation as the “digital equivalent of sexual assault”.

The Chuttamalle Song At The Centre Of The Row

The original Chuttamalle track was part of Devara: Part 1, which released in 2024. Featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, the song was composed by Anirudh Ravichander, sung by Shilpa Rao, and choreographed by Bosco Martis. Its popularity across languages helped it travel far beyond the film’s Telugu core market, making the misuse of its imagery especially jarring.

Jr Ntr’s Recent And Upcoming Work

The controversy has drawn added attention because Jr NTR is in a high-visibility phase of his career, with every move around his projects carrying pan-India interest. He was last seen in War 2 in 2025, which marked his Hindi film debut alongside Hrithik Roshan. Before that came Devara: Part 1 in 2024, the Koratala Siva directorial that also starred Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. His next confirmed big-screen project is Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, which is scheduled for release in 2027.

This run has kept him firmly at the centre of the national film conversation, from a Telugu tentpole like Devara: Part 1 to a major Hindi franchise outing in War 2. That scale of visibility is one reason the incident has resonated so intensely across the industry and among fans.
