Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge released in 1995 stars SRK as Raj, Kajol as Simran. Its re release has been taking place at many places in various cities across the country. Directed by Aditya Chopra & produced by Yash Chopra, the 3 hr 9 min movie earned 2 billion gross worldwide.
The latest bollywood news is that Kajol stated that the audience won’t be happy to see DDLJ’s remake as the magic can be created only once and it won’t have “same feel”.
“My personal opinion is that I don’t think that films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge should be remade. I feel the same for K3G (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham; 2001). I feel that magic can only be created once. If you recreate it, it just fizzles out and it won’t have the same feel,” News18 quoted Kajol as saying.

“You’ll always be disappointed regardless of how well it is portrayed and done. Magic has a feel to it. Films give you that feel. You feel something when you watch them for the first time and nothing replicates that feeling,” she added.

During The Romantics, a docu-series, SRK reminisced, “When we talked, we only talked about action films…that there will be blood coming out and fighting and everything. And they (Aditya Chopra and his then assistant, Karan Johar) narrated this really sweet, namby-pamby film to me, about this guy who doesn’t even run away with the girl!”
It disclosed that Aditya had recommended Shah Rukh when the he was doubtful to give a yes to DDLJ after the narration. “I would just advise you that don’t shut your doors on ever doing a love story because in this country a superstar will only be that person who will be every mother’s son, every sister’s brother, every college girl’s fantasy,” Aditya told DDLJ actor.
