After months of anticipation and sky-high expectations, the moment Prabhas‘ fans and movie buffs have been eagerly awaiting has finally arrived. Vyjayanthi Movies banner, the makers of the much-anticipated epic science fiction thriller Kalki 2898 AD, dropped the theatrical trailer at 7 PM on June 10.
The trailer release marked the end of a long wait for viewers who have been eagerly anticipating the unveiling of this mammoth production, which boasts a staggering budget of Rs. 600 Crore.
The much-anticipated trailer of Prabhas’ upcoming film, Kalki 2898 AD, was officially released, creating a wave of excitement among fans. The trailer hit select cinemas an hour before its digital release, building up the anticipation to a fever pitch.
Kalki 2898 AD is reportedly set to be released in two parts, with the second part promising to be even more intense. According to film reporters, the first part, scheduled to hit screens on June 27, will offer a classy first half, followed by a mass fest after the interval.

The movie makers revealed that the trailer would first be screened at selected theatres across the country at 6 PM, followed by its release on video streaming platforms from 7 PM.
The Hindi and Telugu versions of the trailer were accessible at 7:15 PM on YouTube.
What’s In Kalki 2898 AD Traler?
The 3-minute and 2-seconds trailer unveiled Ashwin’s loose reinterpretation of the Mahabharat, seen through a futuristic lens, adding a dystopian touch. It opens with the introduction of Kaashi, a distant land atop a mountain, equipped with all necessities. People from distant lands struggle to reach their peak, seeking aid from their sole ruler, played by Saswata Chatterjee.
However, a child is prophesied to challenge his rule and bring about a new era. Deepika Padukone‘s character is introduced, pregnant with this significant child, who is destined to change the future. The king, sensing the threat, places a bounty on her head.
Prabhas, playing Bhairava, is depicted as the most skilled hunter, determined to capture Deepika’s character. Unbeknownst to him, Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama arrives to assist her. Will he save her, or will Bhairava reach her first? The film will unveil the answer. As the trailer ends, Nag Ashwin teases fans with a glimpse of Kamal Haasan from the film.
