Dhanush is gearing up to unveil his much-anticipated flick, Raayan, marking his second directorial venture. Initially slated for a June 13 release, the movie faced a postponement.
However, the makers have now confirmed its arrival in theatres with a fresh release date announcement.
Makers Confirm Release Date For Dhanush’s Raayan
Taking to their social media, makers dropped the posters in several languages. They announced the film’s arrival on July 26, 2024. Sun Pictures wrote on their X account, “Witness the world of #Raayan from July 26th in cinemas 🔥.”

This places the release exactly two weeks after Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 hits the big screen.
More About Raayan
Raayan has a star-studded cast that includes Prakash Raj, Kalidas Jayaram, SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Saravanan, and Dushara Vijayan.
Post-production work on Raayan has been ongoing since December last year. The announcement follows the recent release of the songs ‘Adangaatha Asuran’ and ‘Water Packet’.
Featuring music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Om Prakash, and editing by Prasanna GK, the film also boasts stunts by Peter Hein and dance choreography by Prabhu Deva and Baba Baskar.
Dhanush’s Work Front
In addition to Raayan, Dhanush has a series of upcoming releases, including the bilingual film Kubera, an Ilaiyaraaja biopic directed by Arun Matheswaran of Captain Miller fame, and D 52 by Mari Selvaraj.
He is also working on a film titled Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), featuring a group of emerging actors.
