Producer Sajid Nadiadwala and actor Kartik Aaryan can now breathe easy as their sports drama, Chandu Champion, won’t clash with Shankar-directed Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, on June 14.
Industry chatter is rife with discussions about the potential release date of this vigilante drama. Recent reports indicate that Indian 2 is slated to hit screens in July.
Kamal Haasan’s Indian2 Expected To Release This July
The latest information reveals that Indian 2 is set for a Muharram release in July. It could probably be on July 17, 2024. According to a source reported by Pinkvilla, “It’s going to be a Muharram release for Indian 2. The team is working with this date in mind. While the film is ready, the makers plan to shoot a song featuring Kamal Haasan over five days. Shooting is scheduled for May, after which it will be a wrap.”
Following Indian 2, Shankar’s upcoming project is Game Changer featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, followed by Indian 3.

The insider disclosed, “Game Changer could hit screens between October and January, with possible release dates on Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, or Sankranti,” followed by Indian 3 in Summer 2025.
The source stressed the interconnected release dates of all three Shankar films, indicating this schedule is likely final after several delays. Shankar has achieved a milestone by simultaneously filming three movies, potentially earning him a unique industry record.
