Kangana Ranaut fails to appear in Javed Akhtar defamation case; court warns her with an arrest warrant

Kangana Ranaut will face serious consequences for failing to appear at a defamation court hearing. Kangana was scheduled to appear in court today for the Javed Akhtar versus Kangana Ranaut lawsuit at the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate’s court.

Javed Akhtar’s lawyer, Jay Bharadwaj, has reportedly filed an application for an arrest warrant against her when she failed to appear. Kangana’s lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, has alleged that the actress has been frequently travelling and is ill. The actress was requested to do a Covid test and was granted respite as a result.

If Kangana fails to appear for the next hearing on September 20, the court is said to have issued an arrest warrant for her. Her lawyer, on the other hand, had apparently requested a week from the court and stated that the actress would be available for the case’s virtual hearing.
