Kangana Ranaut recently took to Instagram to address comments made by actor Annu Kapoor regarding her recent slap incident at the Chandigarh airport. Annu Kapoor, amidst promotions for his film Hamare Baarah, was quizzed about Kangana during a press conference, prompting a rather candid response.
During the interaction, when asked about Kangana and the incident, Annu Kapoor initially queried, “Who is this Kangana? Is she a big heroine? Is she beautiful?” On being told that Kangana is not only a renowned actress but also a newly elected Member of Parliament from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kapoor commented, “Oh, she has become powerful now.”

Kangana Ranaut, in response, shared a clip of Annu Kapoor’s statements on her Instagram Stories, questioning the societal attitudes towards successful and powerful women.
She captioned the post, “Do you agree with Annu Kapoor ji that we tend to hate a successful woman, hate her more if she is beautiful and hate her even more passionately if she is powerful? Is it true?”
About Kangana’s Controversial Slap Incident
The controversy erupted earlier this month when Kangana alleged that she was slapped by a CISF constable named Kulwinder Kaur at the Chandigarh airport.
Kangana, who had recently won the Lok Sabha election under the BJP banner, attributed the incident to her outspoken remarks on the Khalistan issue. An FIR was subsequently filed against the constable.
For the unversed, Kangana is all set to release her film Emergency after multiple delays. The film was postponed last time due to Lok Sabha elections. The official release date announcement is awaited.
