At the centre of the dispute is Vir Das’ old account of filming the scene. He had said, “I have a very tragic story. Kangana and I had to kiss in Revolver Rani. We rehearsed and it was all good. Then on the day of the shoot, she had gone all method on me. She had become the character. She bit my lip so hard that there was blood everywhere. We had to stop shooting.” Kangana answered the claim directly with her own emphatic rebuttal.

Her response makes it clear that she rejected the claim outright and did not accept the framing being attached to the old shoot anecdote. The actor also underlined that she had performed kissing scenes in her films before, directly countering the suggestion that the moment with Vir Das had become an issue because of discomfort with such scenes.
