Kantara Chapter 1 is simply unstoppable. The film is having another amazing run at the Indian box office, collecting Rs. 12.50 crore approx on its third Wednesday. The holiday season has really helped. The Hindi dubbed version saw a jump in collections, mainly because Maharashtra celebrated the day after Diwali. Karnataka also had a major holiday, so collections there were strong and steady.
The total collection after 21 days in theatres has now reached a massive Rs. 632.50 crore. By the end of its third week today, it will easily cross the Rs. 640 crore mark. With this kind of speed, Kantara Chapter 1 is now the clear favorite to overtake Chhaava and become the Highest Grosser of the Year (HGOTY) for 2025. The next big target is the Rs. 700 crore mark, which looks very possible.

Record-Breaking Business Everywhere
The film is not just doing well, it is smashing records. On Monday, Kantara Chapter 1 created history by becoming the first film to cross Rs. 200 crore in Karnataka alone. There is a good chance it could even hit the Rs. 250 crore benchmark in its home state.
The Hindi dubbed version is also on a fantastic run. It is firmly on course to hit Rs. 200 crore nett, which is a huge achievement. In Tamil Nadu, the film is a blockbuster and is headed for a final total of over Rs. 70 crore, putting it in the same league as other pan-India hits like RRR and Pushpa 2.
Telugu States Slow Down A Bit
The only area where the film has slowed down is in the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). Collections have dropped to a low level, and it looks like the film might just miss the Rs. 100 crore mark there. While these are still very good numbers, the growth compared to the first Kantara film is not as big as it is in other parts of India.
