Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Power: Rishab Shetty’s Film Crosses 400 Crore In India

Kantara: Chapter 1 is proving to be an unstoppable force at the Indian Box Office. The Rishab Shetty directorial has continued its dream run, starting its second week with a massive collection. The film has now officially crossed the ₹400 crore gross mark in India, achieving this incredible feat in just nine days. The total collection now stands at a mighty ₹404.25 crore.

A Superb Second Friday

Even in its second week, the film is showing no signs of slowing down. On its second Friday, Kantara: Chapter 1 collected a superb ₹24.25 crore. This is considered a very strong hold, with only a 53% drop from its first Friday, which had holiday benefits. The Hindi belt showed the best hold with only a 40% drop. The film is expected to see a huge jump in collections over the weekend, with projections suggesting a second weekend of over ₹100 crore. This puts the film on track to cross the ₹500 crore mark by Sunday.

Record-Breaking Run In Karnataka

The film continues to shatter records in its home state of Karnataka. The second Friday collection in the state was a historic ₹8.50 crore, which is almost 80% higher than what KGF 2 earned on its second Friday. Kantara: Chapter 1 is on its way to becoming the highest-grossing film ever in Karnataka and the first to cross the ₹200 crore mark in the state. Other regions like Tamil Nadu and Kerala are also contributing significantly to the film’s massive total.
