Dharma Productions may join forces with People Media Factory for pan-India mytho-actioner Mirai
People Media Factory’s ambitious mythological action film Mirai, starring HanuMan breakout star Teja Sajja, has already sparked major interest among audiences. With its eye-catching posters, teaser, and a release date locked for September 5, the buzz around the film is only getting louder.
Now, in what could be a major development for the film’s national reach, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is reportedly in advanced talks to come on board. A source informed Bollywood Hungama, “If Dharma comes on board, it could catapult Mirai into a whole new league. It will expand its reach and visibility across the country and beyond. With Karan Johar’s keen eye for mass appeal and Dharma’s formidable distribution muscle, Mirai has the potential to become a true nationwide event film.”
Dharma’s previous strategic collaborations include Baahubali, 2.0, and Devara, showcasing the banner’s interest in pan-India spectacles with mass appeal. Their potential entry into Mirai is being seen as a strong move to position the film as a mainstream big-screen event beyond the Telugu belt.
About Mirai
In the film, Teja Sajja plays a fearless warrior named Super Yodha, tasked with protecting nine sacred scriptures. These scriptures hold the power to turn mortals into deities and are targeted by an evil force. The story centers around Teja’s journey to safeguard these scriptures from falling into the wrong hands, battling against a powerful antagonist played by Manchu Manoj.
The film features high-end visual effects and a fantasy world setting, with the teaser hinting at a clash between good and evil forces. It also introduces the concept of “Mirai,” a mystical weapon or divine force that aids the hero in his quest. The narrative involves a warrior’s rise against evil, with Teja’s character discovering his true identity and potential along the way.
Teja Sajja to Lead Another Mythical Action Spectacle
Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, Mirai features Teja Sajja as a valiant warrior protecting nine sacred scriptures. The film promises a mix of mythical storytelling, high-octane action, and top-tier visuals. Produced by T G Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, the project also stars Manoj Manchu and Ritika Nayak, with music composed by Gowra Hari.
Following the massive pan-India success of HanuMan, Teja Sajja’s return to the big screen in Mirai has already raised expectations. If Dharma Productions officially joins as a presenter or partner, it could provide the film with additional muscle in marketing and all-India distribution.
