This was the 15th consecutive year of annual India Business Leader Awards (IBLA). The aim is to honor the high achievers, outstanding leaders and true visionaries of corporate India. The award is presented to the personalities who have contributed to bringing equitable economic growth or building profitable, sustainable and socially conscious businesses.
Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar was also among the list of awardees. Karan Johar was awarded the Iconic Entertainment Leader of the Decade by the hands of finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman at the event.
The award added another feather to his cap. Karan who is a producer, director, screenwriter, costume designer, occasional actor and even hosts shows for television and radio has contributed a lot to the industry.
Since 2004 Karan is running his father’s legacy in the form of Dharma Productions which was established in 1979 by Yash Johar.
Meanwhile, Karan is prepping up his upcoming directorial titled Takht. The film is a period drama starring Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
