In a candid interview with PTI, Kareena expressed her delight over the success of Crew, highlighting how the film shattered traditional box office norms and proved the potential of women-led cinema.

She emphasised that the success of a film hinges not on the gender of its lead but on the quality of performance and content. Kareena remarked, “It’s not about whether it’s a hero or a heroine taking on a film. It’s a person and (their) performance that takes the film and content (forward). We are going to keep trying to do that. I will always choose roles that are interesting but in the form of entertainment. I’m very happy that Crew has broken barriers and started the conversation that women also can break box office rules.”
Portraying the character of Jasmine Kohli in Crew, Kareena disclosed that the film’s remarkable business, surpassing Rs 150 crore, stands as a testament to the industry’s evolving landscape, devoid of gender biases.
