Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for an intense face-off with a snake in his next film. He is reuniting with Karan Johar for a creature comedy directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, best known for the Fukrey series. The film is reportedly part of a comedy trilogy backed by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain.
Fans were already thrilled about Kartik and Karan working together again after Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Now, the excitement has doubled with the reveal that Kartik will battle a snake as his nemesis. This film marks a fresh take on the genre for Bollywood.
It’s Kartik Aaryan Vs Snake In Fukrey Director’s Creature Comedy
A source told mid-day, “The actor and director have displayed their command over comedy in their respective projects, and with the yet-untitled movie, they will venture into the relatively unexplored space of creature comedy. Hindi television has famously tackled the theme of Naagin. Now, it will be interesting to see the subject, which was popular in Hindi films in the 1980s, returning to the silver screen.”
Mrighdeep Singh Lamba has been working on this project for a while. Reports suggest that Karan Johar instantly loved the concept and decided to produce the film.
Earlier, Pinkvilla quoted a source who mentioned, “It’s a script that has the potential to resonate with every section of the cinema-going audience. It’s a lot more than just a comedy, as the team is looking to surprise the audience with the scale and visuals.”
The film is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting in September 2025. The makers are aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of 2026.
Kartik’s Work Front
He is currently shooting for Anurag Basu’s musical love story with Sreeleela. The film was initially titled Aashiqui 3, but the team is now working on a new name. Once he wraps up this project, he will move on to Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, set for a Valentine’s Day 2026 release, with Ananya Panday as the female lead. After that, he will begin work on his second film under Dharma Productions.
