Salman Khan has joined the list of Bollywood celebs who are raving about Chhaava. This Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer historical drama did wonders at the box office in 2025.
During the promotions of Sikandar, Salman shared his thoughts on the movie when asked and praised the lead actors for their performances.
What Salman Khan Said About Chhaava
During his recent chat with NDTV, Salman called Chhaava an exceptional film. He said, “Chhaava bahut hi acchi picture thi (Chhaava was a very good movie). And I think Vicky’s done a great job, and so has she (Rashmika)… done a fantastic job in Chhaava.”
Interestingly, Chhaava marked the first collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna. The actress also teamed up with Salman Khan for the first time in their recently released action thriller Sikandar.
Sikandar has been directed by AR Murugadoss and features Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan, and Sathyaraj. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film hit theatres on March 30.
Well, Salman isn’t the only one impressed by the film. Previously, Alia Bhatt also shared her review on Instagram Stories and showered praise on her Love And War co-star Vicky Kaushal. She wrote, “Vicky Kaushal! What are you????? Cannot get over your performance in Chhaava! @vickykaushal09.” She also complimented Rashmika and said, “@rashmika_mandanna so so beautiful… those eyes!!”
About This Historical Drama
The film is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal portrayed the warrior king, while Rashmika Mandanna played his wife, Maharani Yesubai. The film also featured Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Vineet Kumar Singh, Diana Penty, and Santosh Juvekar in pivotal roles.
Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava was released in cinemas on February 14 during Valentine’s Day. The period drama is set to drop on an OTT platform soon.
