Shraddha Kapoor is ready for her next project after the massive success of Stree 2. The actress has reportedly been finalised by Tumbbad director Rahi Anil Barve for a high-concept thriller. She is set to explore a fresh and unique storyline with this film, produced by Ektaa Kapoor.
Shraddha Kapoor Signs A Thriller Film After Stree 2
A source close to the development shared with Pinkvilla, “Shraddha has been in talks with Ektaa Kapoor for multiple films, and one of them is a high-concept thriller developed by Rahi Anil Barve. The script is locked, and Shraddha was bowled over by the uniqueness that Rahi’s story has to offer. She is all excited and believes that the yet-untitled thriller could be a perfect follow-up to Stree 2.”
The film is expected to start production in late 2025. Rahi will dedicate around three to four months to pre-production. While Shraddha gears up for this thriller, she is also in discussions for a love story with Ekta Kapoor. If finalised, this film will be directed by Aashiqui 2 filmmaker Mohit Suri and will reunite her with Aditya Roy Kapur.
Besides these projects, Shraddha has more films lined up. The report indicates that she will complete at least two films before Stree 3 officially begins. She may also make cameo appearances in upcoming installments of Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, but Stree 3 itself is still some time away.
Shraddha In Nagin Trilogy
Meanwhile, Shraddha is also preparing for the much-anticipated Naagin Trilogy, a mega-budget venture directed by Vishal Furia. Speculation about the project being shelved due to high costs and Bollywood’s recent struggles had been making the rounds.
However, producer Nikhil Dwivedi dismissed these rumours. In an interview, he clarified, “Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Nagin Trilogy is very much on the cards.”
The Nagin aims to present the legendary shape-shifting serpent folklore in a completely new light. Vishal Furia and Nikhil Dwivedi are crafting an ambitious cinematic experience, with advanced VFX and world-building at its core. You can expect a visually spectacular and gripping take on the beloved folklore.
