Kartik Aaryan Shares Heartwarming SRK Moment & Opens Up On Complimenting Co-Stars

Kartik Aaryan has always been an affable person, but in a recent interview, he shared a little-known story that fans have been buzzing about: Aaryan’s interaction with the obvious Bollywood Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan, after the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

The horror-comedy was one of the few movies to restore audience trust in theatres after the pandemic and took in over ₹185 crore worldwide. Aaryan, who starred in the leading role of the Anees Bazmee film, attributed the success to its appeal to a larger audience and nostalgic connection, but it was SRK’s personal acknowledgement that seemed to attract Aaryan’s attention.

“Shah Rukh sir personally called me over after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. He told me how much he loved the film. He’s so warm, always appreciative. That really stayed with me,” Kartik said.

The praise wasn’t limited solely to social media captions. According to Aaryan, Khan had gone out of his way to praise him at an event, which only seems to reaffirm that Khan is the biggest legend in the industry.

“Whenever we meet he always talks about my work,” Kartik added, calling SRK “really generous and nice.”

Kartik Aaryan On Why He Almost Never Messages Fellow Actors Complimenting Their Work

Aaryan, who has experienced being both on the receiving end and giving end of praise, admitted he is not the type who sends a text message to fellow actors saying a nice word about their work, unless he knows them well or meets them in person.

“I do appreciate great work, but I am not the social kind of person messaging wise unless I already know them,” he shared.

He even suggested he does not think every person he meets is a “colleague”, even if they are very famous.

The Freddy actor also shared a recent experience regarding another Tamil star and phenomenal talent, Vijay Sethupathi, who has received rave reviews for his performance in Viduthalai Part 2 and who is also in the super successful Maharaja.

Kartik watched Maharaja and was blown away by how great Vijay’s performance was and the nuances he brought to the role.

Kartik met this star in Chennai and could not resist complimenting him face to face.

“It was such a special experience to watch Maharaja. I told him in person how brilliant he was,” Kartik recalled.

He added that while he may not be in the business of overly expressing compliments digitally, he values in-person, face-to-face interactions with other artists so he can acknowledge them with respect.

What’s Next For Kartik Aaryan?

After a string of very successful outings lately, Chandu Champion, followed by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He will next be in a new pair with Sreeleela—who was seen in Dhamaka (2022) and recently seen in Robinhood (2025)—noted that her upcoming project is Aashiqui 3—the next romantic drama that holds her with Kartik and is sure to grab a lot of attention.
