Even as he awaits the release of Satyaprem Ki Katha, Kartik Aaryan has kicked off his next with filmmaker Kabir Khan. The yet-untitled action drama went on floors in Joker Maidan in Film City, Goregaon, on Wednesday. We hear the director has charted out a 10-day schedule during which the movie’s action set-pieces will be canned. A source reveals, “The shooting began with a hand-to-hand combat sequence featuring Kartik. The schedule has been planned in such a way that the major outdoor fight scenes will be shot before the monsoons hit the city. This film will see the leading man attempt action again after Shehzada.”
About The Film
Announced in July 2022, the project marks the first collaboration between Aaryan and Khan. At the time, the filmmaker had described it as a “fascinating true story about an unknown hero.”
Talking about the much-awaited film at a recent event, Kabir Khan revealed, “It’s a fascinating true story that I came across. This time around it’s about an unknown hero, unlike 83 which showed living legends who we all know about. What compelled me to tell this story is that as Indians you’ll be shocked, that how do we not know this person. How did we let someone who did all this, fade away. That’s the excitement. I’ll start shooting for the film from May probably and Kartik Aaryan is playing the lead in it. The casting for other characters is underway.”
Meanwhile, Satyaprem Ki Katha also stars Kiara Advani in the lead role. The film is slated to hit the theatres on June 29, 2023.
