Since the release of Jolly LLB 2, there have been discussions and fan theories about the potential for Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi to face off in Jolly LLB 3, or Jolly v/s Jolly. The fan theories have now actually come true, whereas they were just theories back in the day. A sources claimed few months back that Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar would collaborate on the upcoming Jolly LLB 3 film, which will be directed by Subhash Kapoor. The movie will be made by Star Studios and begin production the following year.
“Subhash Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi have been toying with the idea of Jolly LLB 3 for a while now and the things have fallen in place. Subhash has cracked a subject that warrants a face off between the two Jolly’s. It’s hilarious with a very relevant topic for debate in the court of law,” revealed a source close to the development.
Arshad Warsi Reveals That Shoot Will Start Next Year Beginning
“The idea is to create the ambience of a big screen courtroom drama and hence, efforts have been taken to make it a multi-genre film, with the right blend of humour with drama and thrill. Finishing touches are being given to the script at the moment and the team will then move on to the pre-production stage. The idea is to take the film on floors in the first half of 2024,” the source further added.
The actor has played some memorable roles in some of the best sequel films like Munna Bhai MMBS, Golmaaland Dhamaal. Arshad is now gearing up to be back as Jolly in Jolly LLB 3. Recently, Arshad confirmed the news. Talking to an entertainment website, he said, “Jolly LLB 3 with Akshay is happening.” Talking about the shooting of the movie, Arshad said that it’s supposed to go on floors next year.
This is not the first time Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi will be starring together. They both have previously starred together in the movie Bachchhan Paandey.
Arshad Warsi played the role of Circuit alongside Sanjay Dutt in the two parts of the Munna Bhai film series. Since then fans have loved the duo and eagerly are waiting to see them together again. Giving an update on whether Munna Bhai will be back or no, he said, “Munna Bhai 3 is not happening; Sanjay (Dutt) and I want it to happen, Raju (Hirani) wants to make it and Vidhu (Vinod Chopra) wants to produce it. But for now, it’s not happening.
