Katrina Kaif recently opened up about her journey in the film industry, including her decision to decline a Hollywood offer and her passion for dance. The actress spoke candidly about her aspirations in Hollywood. Despite having to reject a Hollywood film due to unforeseen circumstances, Kaif remains optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead in the West.
“I do believe it will happen, and I think that will be a whole new leaf in my book, so to speak, and exciting,” Kaif expressed, highlighting her positive outlook towards potential Hollywood roles.
Katrina Kaif Reveals Gaining On-Camera Experience With Telugu Film Malliswari
Reflecting on her career trajectory, Kaif traced her beginnings back to a Telugu film Malliswari in 2004, where she first gained on-camera experience. In the movie, Katrina played the titular role of Malliswari, Princess of Mirzapuram, who disguises herself as a maid.
After that project, she met directors and producers and ultimately found her passion for acting.
“I’ve always put the audiences first and have tried to with my choices throughout my career,” Kaif emphasised, underscoring her commitment to selecting roles that resonate with viewers while also providing personal and professional growth.
How Dance Helped Katrina Kaif To Express Herself & Connect With Audiences
Dance, according to Kaif, played a pivotal role in shaping her career and identity as an actress. We have seen her amazing dance moves in songs like “Kamli,” “Bang Bang,” “Kala Chashma,” “Mashallah,” and more, so we can’t deny it.
Particularly, her training in Kathak, an Indian classical dance form, helped her understand the language of cinema and express emotions effectively on screen.
“Dance is one thing, but I feel like Kathak is about expression. It’s about a feeling, it’s about expressing yourself through music,” Kaif explained. She feels dance helped her connect with audiences and discover her voice as an artist.
Katrina Kaif was last in the movie Merry Christmas with actor Vijay Sethupathi. As of now, she hasn’t revealed her next movie project.
