Actress Regina Cassandra has not one but two big Bollywood projects, and both will arrive next month with just a few days gap between their releases. Her next major film is reportedly Kesari Chapter 2. The makers have not revealed much about her role, but fresh reports suggest she plays an important character alongside Akshay Kumar.
Just yesterday, the trailer for Sunny Deol’s Jaat was released and the film features Regina in a key role. On the same day, Kesari Chapter 2 dropped a promotional asset, confirming its lead cast – Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday. However, it has now been revealed that Regina Cassandra is also part of Kesari 2.

A trade source shared with Bollywood Hungama, “She has been kept under wraps by the makers but her character is quite crucial to the narrative. She plays the wife of C Sankaran Nair, the protagonist which is essayed by Akshay Kumar.”
Keshari Chapter 2 is based on real events. It tells the story of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and freedom fighter who stood up against British rule after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Karan Singh Tyagi has directed the film, which is inspired by the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective have backed the project.
Will The Actress Feature In Kesari 2’s Trailer?
The teaser introduced audiences to the world of C Sankaran Nair. R Madhavan and Ananya Panday’s roles are expected to be revealed in the upcoming trailer. Fans are now curious whether Regina will be introduced in the trailer or if they will have to wait until the film’s release on April 18.
Regina Cassandra has a packed 2025 schedule. Her first film of the year, Vidaamuyarchi, saw her act alongside Ajith Kumar. Jaat, where she shares the screen with Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Siingh, and Saiyami Kher, is set to release on April 10, just a week before Kesari Chapter 2.
Keshari Chapter 2 has already gone through several changes. Reports last year suggested it was initially titled Shankara. The film was originally planned for a March 14 release to coincide with Holi but was later pushed to April 18.
