Kesari Chapter 2 is the latest Bollywood film to face online piracy. The film was released in cinemas yesterday (April 18), but within hours, it showed up on multiple piracy websites.
Kesari Chapter 2 Leaked Online
The movie stars Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday. People found it online in several video formats, including HD, 1080p, 720p, and even low-quality ones like 240p. The news sparked concern among fans and industry insiders.
Kesari 2 isn’t the only film hit by leaks lately. Other big movies like Salman Khan’s Sikandar, Mohanlal’s Empuraan, Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi, and Ram Charan’s Game Changer have also been pirated online.
Makers Yet To React To This Matter
Dharma Productions, the studio behind Kesari Chapter 2, has not released a statement yet. Fans and trade analysts are waiting to see their reaction.
During a recent promo event, Akshay Kumar urged fans to focus on the film while watching it in theatres. He said, “I humbly request you all to please keep your phones in your pockets and listen to every dialogue of this film. It will mean a lot. If you check your Instagram during the movie, it will be a humiliation for the film. So I request everyone to keep their phones away.”
About Kesari Chapter 2
The film, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, tells the story of a major legal battle after the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay plays Advocate C. Sankaran Nair. R. Madhavan plays Advocate Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill.
The film tries to highlight a powerful but lesser-known part of India’s history. Even with a strong star cast and a bold subject, Kesari Chapter 2 has seen a slow start at the box office. Reports say the film earned only Rs 7.1 crore by 9 pm on its opening day. The budget of the film stands at Rs 100 crore.
The leak may hit box office numbers even harder. Fans on social media are now urging others to support the film in cinemas instead of watching pirated versions.
