During the visit, Akshay spoke to the media about the powerful message behind the film. He said, “Every year on April 13, people gather at Jallianwala Bagh to remember the innocent lives lost. But very few know about Shankar Nair, the man who stood up against the injustice.”

Akshay also shared his personal connection with the film. He added, “Whenever I watch the trailer or the film itself, it moves me to tears. A lot of effort has gone into making this film, and I urge everyone to watch it with their children so that the next generation remains connected to our history.”

More About The Film

The story of Kesari Chapter 2 is based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire. The book was written by Raghu Palat, Nair’s great-grandson, and Pushpa Palat.

The film brings back a forgotten piece of history and sheds light on India’s struggle for justice. Through emotional storytelling, it reminds audiences of the strength and sacrifices made in the fight for freedom.

Karan Singh Tyagi praised Akshay’s role and dedication in a recent interview. The director said, “He’s been incredible in his support. I feel this is one of his best performances. He’s heard stories from his grandfather and father, and feels a personal connection to the tragedy.”
