Kesari Chapter 2 continues to win hearts with each passing day after its release on April 18. The film has also started well at the box office. Now, Bollywood celebs have been showering it with love, and Varun Dhawan is the latest star to show his support.
Varun Dhawan Loved Watching Kesari Chapter 2
On 20 April, Varun shared a story on Instagram. He posted a still from the film featuring Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday. He called Kesari Chapter 2 a “powerful film” and praised everyone involved.
He wrote, “Love watching it in the theatres. Congratulations @bindraamritpal #karan @ananyapanday u were very good @actormaddy loved u sir and @akshaykumar ur passion and hardwork shines in this @karanjohar so happy for u have done it again.” He ended the message with a hug emoji. Varun also gave a shoutout to Azeem Dayani and added,, “@azeemdayani loved your score.”
Karan Johar reacted to the post. He shared Varun’s story with red heart emojis and simply wrote, “VD ❤️❤️❤️.”
Not just Varun, many Bollywood stars have already praised the film. The list includes Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Sunny Kaushal, Suniel Shetty, and Ramesh Taurani. They all called the film emotional and powerful.
About This Courtroom Drama
Karan Singh Tyagi directed Kesari Chapter 2 & it’s his first film as a director. The story focuses on events after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It follows lawyer C Sankaran Nair, who takes on the British Empire. Akshay Kumar plays the lead role. Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill. R Madhavan takes on the role of R Neville McKinley.
The production team includes Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari.
Varun Dhawan: Work Front
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is preparing for more big-screen releases. He will star in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Janhvi Kapoor. Shashank Khaitan is directing the film. It will release on 12 September 2025. The cast also features Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi.
Varun also has Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Border 2, and No Entry 2 lined up, and it looks like 2025 is going to be a busy year for him.
