Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday’s Khaali Peeli is set to have an OTT release on October 2, 2020. The makers of the film dropped the first song of the film titled, ‘Beyonce Sharma Jayegi’. However, the song immediately started receiving backlashes for its racist undertones as it had the lyrics – ‘Tujhe dekh ke goriya, Beyoncé sharma jayegi’!

While people slammed the makers for making racist songs special when the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement is at the peak. It has been reported that the makers are reportedly planning to re-write the song.

According to the reports, way back Beyoncé trademarked her name. She even trademarked her daughter Blue Ivy’s name after fighting a legal battle. Since the makers have not sought permission to use the name for commercial purposes. The makers may not want to fall into legal repercussions. Hence, they will reportedly re-write the song.

Composed by Vishal – Shekhar, the song incorporates 12 different kinds of dance forms including locking, Popping, Hip Hop, Ballet, House, Kalari, Kathak, Ring Dance, Fire Juggling, B-boying, Kalaripayattu, and many more.
