Rumours about Kiara Advani charging a massive Rs 15 crore for her role in Yash starrer Toxic have been doing rounds for quite some time. But insiders have shut down these claims, calling them exaggerated and far from the truth.
Kiara Advani Charging Rs 15 Cr For Toxic Is Not True
A source close to the project dismissed the reports, stating that no actress in India, not even Alia Bhatt or Deepika Padukone, earns that much fee.
An insider close to the project said to journalist Subhash K Jha, “Kiara is certainly not being paid Rs 15 crores. It’s ridiculous to even suggest such a figure.” They also made it clear that Toxic is being positioned as Yash’s film, with his presence being the biggest commercial draw.”
The source added, “Let’s be very honest—Toxic is being marketed worldwide as Yash’s project. The co-stars don’t impact the film’s economics in the same way. This is Yash’s first project post-KGF, and fans are eagerly waiting for its release in March 2026.”
However, the source confirmed that Kiara has an important role in the film. “It’s not as if she has an inconsequential part. But in terms of the film’s commercial viability, her presence doesn’t alter the equation.”
When asked about Kiara’s actual remuneration, the source refused to share the exact number but assured that the reported figure was highly inflated. They said, “It’s a good amount but nowhere near what’s being claimed. These exaggerated numbers only harm actors in the long run, even if they might seem beneficial for future negotiations.”
About The Film
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film explores the dark world of Goa’s drug mafia. Yash will appear in a rugged new look, and the film will feature high-octane action sequences choreographed by Hollywood’s JJ Perry.
The film is being shot in both Kannada and English, making it India’s first large-scale bilingual production. Alongside Kiara and Yash, Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria. Yash, who is also co-producing the film, has already grabbed attention with his intense transformation for the role.
The film was initially set for an April 2025 release but faced delays. The makers are now targeting a late 2025 theatrical debut. With all the hype surrounding it, Toxic is one of the most anticipated films of the year.
