Kiara Advani is one of the most interesting and upcoming stars in Bollywood. In a decade, Kiara has slowly proven her worth in the industry by portraying a variety of roles in several films including Shershaah, Guilty, Satyaprem Ki Katha, and more. However, there have been moments where the talented actress had to experience a fair share of rejections.
In a recent interview, Kiara revealed that she had auditioned for Aamir Khan‘s Laal Singh Chaddha. Though she did not specifically mention which character, it is estimated that she auditioned for the lead role, which eventually went to Kareena Kapoor. Kiara said that must have been ‘terrible’ during the audition as she didn’t get the role.
This is a normal phenomenon in the industry as in the past, we have seen how Anushka Sharma had auditioned for the lead role in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. The role, again, went on to Kareena Kapoor. Vicky Kaushal had also auditioned for a small part in Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan, but couldn’t bag the role.

Laal Singh Chaddha is an Indian adaptation of the popular Hollywood film Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks. The film stars Aamir Khan in the titular role (who also produced the film) and follows his journey as he goes through several things in his life. It also starred Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya, and Manav Vij. The film met with mixed response and failed to perform well at the box office, despite its hype.
Satyaprem Ki Katha Did Wonders At The Box-Office
When Kiara’s Satyaprem Ki Katha was released, the general buzz was that the film might receive a lukewarm response at the box office because of its genre. However, fans were hopeful since Kartik Aaryan has been delivering box-office hits. The latter turned out to be true and the film met with mostly positive critical response. Made on a budget of 60 crores, the film, directed by Sameer Vidwans, became a roaring success. So far, it has minted over 110 crores at the box office.
Kiara’s Upcoming Projects
Kiara has been basking in the success of her latest venture Satyaprem Ki Katha which turned out to be one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2023. She will be next seen in the Telugu political action thriller flick Game Changer. Directed by S. Shankar, the film stars Ram Charan in the lead. It is made on a budget of 170 crore.
