Actress Kiara Advani is gearing up for a new project. She is in advanced talks with Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films to star in a standalone fantasy comedy. This comes after her success in films like Kabir Singh, Good Newwz, Sher Shaah, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and Satyaprem Ki Katha.
Recently, Kiara has been seen visiting Vijan’s office in Khar, which has created a buzz in the industry.
Kiara Advani In Talks For A Fantasy Comedy With Supernatural Elements
Sources revealed to Pinkvilla that Kiara and Dinesh Vijan have been discussing this collaboration for some time, and they are close to finalising the deal. An insider mentioned that Kiara is nearly ready to sign on for the fantasy comedy.
This Film will not be part of the Stree Cinematic Universe. Instead, it aims to launch a standalone franchise with supernatural elements. The style of this franchise will be quite different from what audiences are used to, and the makers are excited about this fresh direction.
Film To Go On Floors By Mid-2025
Production is expected to start around mid-2025, following a complete shooting schedule. Kiara is looking forward to exploring this new genre, showing her eagerness for creative growth.
The source noted that it will be Kiara Advani in and as the main character, and negotiations are progressing well. Once everything is confirmed, an official announcement will be made. This film could be Kiara’s first major release after she wraps up her current projects, War 2 and Toxic.
There have been reports about Kiara possibly reuniting with her former co-star and husband Sidharth Malhotra for another project with Maddock.
However, it seems both actors are focusing on their individual projects. Kiara’s priority is the fantasy horror comedy, while Sidharth is working on a slice-of-life film with director Tushar Jalota.
Dinesh Vijan, the head of Maddock Films, has enjoyed great success in the post-pandemic era. His recent hits include Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Munjya, and Stree.
