Salman Khan’s 2014 hit film Kick remains a fan favourite, and the anticipation for its sequel, Kick 2, is growing. Recent updates suggest that the film is expected to begin shooting in 2025, though official confirmation is still pending.
Sajid Nadiadwala Said THIS On His Plans For Kick 2
Mid-Day reports that producer Sajid Nadiadwala is planning to start filming Kick 2 in 2025. “He will have to figure out the timelines because he is also overseeing several productions under his banner. He wants to ensure smooth functioning of the productions to dedicate his entire time to direct Kick 2,” states the report.
Currently, Nadiadwala is backing another Salman Khan film, Sikandar, but he has already started discussing the storyline for Kick 2. Both the actor and the filmmaker, who share a strong bond, are reportedly “excited” about their collaboration on the sequel.
Sajid Wants To Make Kick 2 ‘Bigger’ & ‘Better’
Nadiadwala, who made his directorial debut with Kick, previously confirmed that a sequel is in the works. “I launched myself as a director with Kick and that’s my favourite IP. The moment I speak about Kick, I get messages from the industry and even the digital world is flooded with questions on when Kick 2 will go on floors,” he told Pinkvilla.
The filmmaker further added, “Now, I promise that there will be an extension to Kick. The subject is there on paper, it’s completely written but needs time. We need a bigger scale and a better time for its release. We need to have cinema consumption back in fashion for us to make Kick. Once we are back to normal, I will be ready to take Kick 2 on floors,” Sajid told Pinkvilla.

Currently, Salman Khan is busy shooting for Sikandar with Rashmika Mandanna. The film, presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, is set for an Eid release in 2025. Salman shared the title slate on Instagram, stating, “Sajid Nadiadwala presents Salman Khan in and as Sikandar.”
Fans are eagerly waiting for more news about Kick 2. The original Kick, which also starred Jacqueline Fernandez, was a massive success and left audiences wanting more.
