Kill Box Office Collection Day 7: Lakshya’s Action Thriller Maintains Momentum & Nets Rs 11.36 Cr; Set To Rise Higher This Weekend

Kill maintained its momentum on weekdays & crossed Rs 11 cr in its1st week. It may show growth with BOGO offer and weekend coming up.

Karan Johar and Guneet Monga’s latest action thriller, Kill, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, has made a remarkable debut in the Indian box office arena. Featuring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala, the film marks a notable entry for Lakshya in the film industry.

The success of Kill is credited to its gripping action sequences and positive word-of-mouth among audiences. As the sole release last week, following the postponement of Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha at the request of distributors and exhibitors, Kill faced competition from the much-anticipated pan-India release of Kalki 2898 AD.

Despite this, the film showed significant growth over the weekend and maintained steady performance through the weekdays.

Kill Shows Strong Hold On Day 7 Too Completing Its 1st Week In Theatres

On its opening day, Friday, Kill garnered Rs 1.35 crore. The film saw a substantial 60% increase in earnings on Saturday, collecting Rs 2.20 crore. Sunday brought marginal growth, with earnings of Rs 2.70 crore, bringing the three-day weekend total to Rs 6.25 crore nett in India.

The momentum continued into the weekdays, with Kill earning Rs 1.30 crore on Monday, nearly matching its opening day figures. The film maintained audience interest, bringing in Rs 1.35 crore on Tuesday and Rs 1.24 crore on Wednesday. This consistent performance resulted in a six-day total of Rs 10.14 crore nett.

Concluding its first week, Kill continued to hold strong, earning Rs 1.22 crore on day 7, bringing its total collection to Rs 11.36 crore in just one week. The film’s resilience through the weekdays has ensured it crosses the Rs 11 crore nett mark by the end of its first week.

Kill Box Office Collection Expected To Grow On Weekend

To compete with new releases like Sarfira and Indian 2, which hit theatres this week, the makers of Kill have introduced a Buy One Get One free offer on movie tickets. This move aims to bolster ticket sales and maintain competitiveness amidst fresh competition.

Kill has caught the public’s eye with its gripping storyline, mostly set on a train. Lionsgate Pictures has secured the distribution rights for North America. It premiered on over 1,000 screens there on 4 July, aligning with American Independence Day.

The film has earned praise during its international festival tour, especially at the Toronto International Film Festival. There are also plans to adapt Kill into a Hollywood film. This version will be directed by Chad Stahelski, known for John Wick, and produced by Lionsgate Pictures.
