Lakshya’s Kill made waves in the Hindi box office after its release. Now, the action-packed thriller is set to expand into Tamil and Telugu remakes. This action-packed thriller, produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, originally premiered in July 2024 and quickly became a fan favourite.
Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Kill first caught attention at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it was the runner-up for the People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness.
With its gripping storyline and impressive cast, it garnered praise from both critics and audiences. The film features Lakshya in the lead role, alongside Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Tanya Maniktala. Now, after its successful run, the film is headed to South Indian cinema.
Kill To Get Tamil & Telugu Remakes After Hindi Version’s Success
The Tamil and Telugu versions will be helmed by Ramesh Varma and produced by A Studios. This move follows the earlier announcement that John Wick director Chad Stahelski secured international remake rights for the film.
Fans can expect the same intense action and thrilling plot that made the original a hit.
Why The Film Received So Much Attention?
Well, Kill is known for its gory action sequences and a spine-chilling narrative that unfolds on a train. These elements have made it a standout in the genre.
Financially, the film has also performed well. With a budget of Rs 20 crore, Kill recouped its production costs and earned Rs 24.15 crore nett in its lifetime collection, yielding a profit of Rs 4.15 crore.
The buzz around the remakes is also evident. Fans are eager to see how the Tamil and Telugu versions will adapt the story and characters. Given the success of the original, expectations are high.
