Vikrant Massey’s much-awaited film, The Sabarmati Report, is finally set to hit theatres on November 15. After facing multiple delays, this intense drama thriller, based on the tragic burning of the Sabarmati Express in Gujarat’s Godhra on February 27, 2002, is ready for its big release.
Directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, the film promises to bring a gripping account of one of India’s most controversial events to the screen.
Vikrant Massey Shares New Release Date Of The Sabarmati Report With An Intriguing Poster
Actor Vikrant Massey shared an update on Instagram by revealing a new poster for The Sabarmati Report. The striking image shows a burning train and a fallen microphone, symbolic of the heavy themes the film explores.
In his post, Vikrant wrote, “The burning truth will be out on 15th November! Stay Tuned! #TheSabarmatiReport only in cinemas!”
Fans quickly flooded the comments, with one user stating, “Waited so long,” while another added, “The real truth is coming soon!” Excitement is definitely building up as the film inches closer to its release date.
The Film Was Postponed Multiple Times Due To Different Reasons
The Sabarmati Report was initially slated for release in May 2024 but faced numerous postponements, moving from July to August, and was even speculated for a September or October release.
Now, with a confirmed date of November 15, fans can finally mark their calendars. The film also stars Raashii Khanna and Riddhi Dogra in pivotal roles. Vikrant Massey will portray journalist Samar Kumar, while Raashii will play a fellow reporter, and Riddhi takes on the role of a senior news anchor.
What Is The Sabarmati Report About?
The film’s storyline follows the events that occurred on February 27, 2002, when the Sabarmati Express was set on fire, sparking a major communal conflict in Gujarat. In the teaser released earlier, Vikrant’s character is seen reporting the tragic incident in a tense newsroom setting, creating anticipation for how the story unfolds on screen.
