Shah Rukh Khan’s much-hyped film King is already shaping up to be one of the biggest upcoming action spectacles. Siddharth Anand is directing the project, and Suhana Khan is making her big-screen debut. Fans are super curious about what’s coming.
Now, a latest report from Peeping Moon claims Arshad Warsi has joined the cast.
Arshad Warsi Joins SRK’s King?
He’s said to be playing a key role, but the makers are keeping his character under wraps. If this turns out to be true, it’ll be the first time SRK and Arshad share proper screen space. Even though they’ve been friends for years, they’ve never acted together in such major roles.
Back in 2005, SRK made a cameo in Arshad’s film Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye. That film also starred Mahima Chaudhry, Rohit Roy, Sandhya Mridul, and Jaspal Bhatti. But King will be their first proper collaboration as lead characters.
The film comes from Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures. Along with SRK and Suhana, the cast includes Abhishek Bachchan and Munjya actor Abhay Verma.
Recently, a report from the same portal claimed that Deepika Padukone will make a cameo as Suhana’s mother and SRK’s ex. But Siddharth Anand dismissed the rumour with a cryptic “false” post on social media.
More About This Shah Rukh Khan Starrer
King is said to be a gripping action thriller with emotional depth. Sources say the plot takes inspiration from Bichhoo (2000), which was loosely based on Léon: The Professional (1994). Shah Rukh reportedly plays a skilled assassin. After tragedy hits Suhana’s character, he helps her on a journey of revenge.
The film will also mark Siddharth Anand’s next big project after Pathaan. With his knack for slick action and solid visuals, fans expect nothing less than a full-blown cinematic ride.
The team is expected to start shooting King on May 18 in Mumbai. The makers are eyeing a theatrical release towards the end of 2026.
