A rose clenched between his lips, a cold stare locked in place, and instant noise across social media. Shah Rukh Khan’s new King poster landed like a full-blown fan event on Tuesday morning, with the superstar unveiling a striking new look that quickly sent admirers into celebration mode online.
The image gives King a sharper pulse ahead of its December 24, 2026 theatrical release. Shared through Shah Rukh Khan’s official social media handles, the poster throws the focus squarely on his intense new avatar, while fan reactions poured in within minutes. One user wrote, “Save the date! 24th December 2026 ko box office par tsunami aayegi.” Another posted, “@iamsrk Aaaggg lagne wala hai 🔥 🔥 🔥”.
New Poster Pushes King Hype Higher
The new artwork leans into style and danger in equal measure. Shah Rukh Khan’s look carries a seductive flourish with the rose, but the expression and styling are all edge, attitude and confrontation. It is the kind of visual that thrives on instant impact, and fans responded exactly that way.
Another admirer wrote, “@iamsrl Loved the look sir… 🔥 ❤️#King”. One more fan commented, “Lovely poster of #KING…#ShahRukhKhan sir never disappoint us with their role, best wishes to #SiddhartAnand n whole team. Waiting for 24th Dec. @iamsrk @RedChilliesEnt.” The reaction online made one thing clear: the new poster has only intensified the appetite for the film’s next reveal.
Release Date, Team And Film Details
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is locked for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026. The latest poster keeps the campaign firmly centred on Shah Rukh Khan’s star presence and reinforces the film’s Christmas positioning as a major year-end Hindi release.
The official reveal itself functions as the biggest statement in this update. By dropping a character-heavy poster at this stage, the makers have shifted attention from announcement value to screen image, giving audiences a stronger visual handle on the world of King without giving away the story.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Recent And Upcoming Work
The buzz around King arrives after a defining theatrical phase for Shah Rukh Khan. In 2023, he delivered Pathaan with Siddharth Anand and Jawan with Atlee, two landmark commercial blockbusters that re-established him at the peak of large-scale action cinema. He followed them with Dunki, Rajkumar Hirani’s 2023 drama co-starring Taapsee Pannu, which added a different emotional register to that run.
King now carries a different charge in that trajectory. Unlike Pathaan, which rode on espionage spectacle and franchise energy, this film is drawing attention through a more character-forward image, one built around menace, flair and mystery. As of October 28, 2026, it stands as Shah Rukh Khan’s next confirmed theatrical release and one of the most closely watched Hindi film launches on the 2026 calendar.
