King Update: Siddharth Anand To Now Direct Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Biggest’ Action Thriller, Filming Delayed To March 2025

Siddharth Anand to direct SRK starrer King with filming delayed to March 2025. No details on whether Sujoy Ghosh has stepped back as director.

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to reunite with director Siddharth Anand for an action-packed thriller titled King. After their huge success with Pathaan in 2023, which made history by becoming the first-ever Hindi film to cross Rs 500 crore at the box office, the duo is ready to create more magic on screen.

King Shoot Schedule Pushed To March 2025

King, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix, was originally scheduled to start filming earlier but has been delayed. As per a Pinkvilla report, the movie is now set to go on floors in March 2025. 

The team has been busy for the past six months, scouting locations worldwide and working with top stunt directors to create high-octane action sequences. The film promises to deliver some of the most thrilling action ever seen in a Hindi film, with a global-scale appeal.

According to insiders, Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are one of the biggest combinations in Hindi cinema, and their reunion for King has everyone excited. The preparation for the film has been huge, with location scouting done across the globe, and there are big plans for action-packed scenes.

In King, Shah Rukh Khan will play the lead role, while Suhana Khan plays a crucial part in the story, and Abhishek Bachchan will be the antagonist. The screenplay, written by Sujoy Ghosh, Siddharth Anand, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya, promises compelling character arcs and powerful moments for each actor. King will also mark the return of screenwriter Abbas Tyrewala, who previously worked with the team on Pathaan.

The film will have an international backdrop, with plans to shoot in several uncharted and stunning locations across Europe and beyond. These exotic destinations will play a significant role in adding to the film’s grandeur.

The film is set to feature some of the most explosive action sequences ever written for a Hindi film. Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are planning to shoot all around the globe, with the locations already scouted. King is expected to have a shooting schedule spanning six to seven months, across multiple countries, with a theatrical release planned for 2026.

While the main cast is locked in place, there is still buzz around the casting of the leading lady opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The talks are ongoing with a major actress & an announcement is expected soon.

King aims to match the scale and success of Pathaan, bringing grand action and a gripping storyline to the big screen.
