Indian cinema is venturing into new territory with Kingston, the first-ever sea-horror action-adventure trilogy. The film is set for a global theatrical release on March 7, 2025, with its teaser launching on January 9, 2025.
The project is led by GV Prakash Kumar, who serves as the film’s producer, actor, and music composer.
Kingston Announced With First Look Poster
GV Prakash shared the first look poster on Instagram and wrote, “India’s first sea fantasy adventure is here. Presenting the First Look of #Kingston starring @gvprakash. TEASER FROM JANUARY 9TH.”
The film draws inspiration from Hollywood titles like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Harry Potter series. Combining Indian cultural themes with global storytelling techniques, it promises a mix of treasure hunts, ancient myths, and supernatural forces.
GV Prakash Calls It A ‘Large Scale’ Trilogy
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, GV Prakash Kumar described the film as a large-scale trilogy in the sea-horror fantasy genre. “Kingston is a story with universal appeal that explores something Indian audiences have never seen before. It’s made on the lines of Hollywood films like Indiana Jones and Harry Potter,” he said.
Kingston will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, aiming to reach audiences across languages. Produced by Parallel Universe Pictures and Zee Studios, the film is designed to cater to a global audience while rooted in Indian culture.
