Salman Khan was absent from the big screen throughout the previous year, as he was fully dedicated to his upcoming project, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The renowned actor-producer is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that his Eid release lives up to the expectations of his loyal fans. In fact, he went to the extent of completely re-shooting a song to enhance its visual appeal. According to a source, Salman Khan has personally edited the movie, directed by Farhad Samji, and has now finalized the initial cut, which will act as a guide for the film’s editor, Bunty Negi.
The film features a star-studded cast, including renowned south actor Venkatesh, along with popular names like Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, and Siddharth Nigam. With such a talented cast and Khan’s dedication towards the project, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan this Eid.
A source told Mid-Day, “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is Salman’s passion project. With the movie slated to hit the marquee on Eid (April 21), he did the first round of editing at a breakneck speed at his brother Sohail Khan’s studio in Bandra. He has a certain vision for the action drama, and wants it to translate well on the screen. He took a break from his editing duties this week as he was exhausted after attending and performing at some weddings.”
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, directed by Farhad Samji, is a remake of the 2014 Tamil movie Veeram. The storyline revolves around a man whose four younger brothers want him to get married so that they too can settle down. Salman Khan, being the perfectionist that he is, has personally edited the first cut of the movie and screened it to his family and staff at his Panvel farmhouse.
According to sources, the response to the first cut was overwhelmingly positive, with everyone deeming it a complete family entertainer. Some suggestions for improvements were also made, which Khan has relayed to the film’s editor, Bunty Negi. As Negi now begins work on the editing process, he will incorporate the changes suggested by the superstar into the final cut of the film.
‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ will hit the big screens on April 21, 2023.
