A crowd-pleasing family entertainer often saves its loudest cheer for the climax, and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has done exactly that. The David Dhawan directorial, which released in theatres on June 5, 2026, is already drawing attention for its breezy humour, colourful romance and ensemble energy, but the moment that has truly sent fans into celebration mode arrives right at the end.
Spoiler Alert!
Kriti Sanon’s Cameo Becomes The Big Talking Point
Kriti Sanon makes a surprise appearance in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai as the mysterious third girl, and her late entry quickly turns into the film’s most discussed moment. Her character eventually crosses paths with Varun Dhawan’s character, giving audiences a warm, playful reunion that has sparked major nostalgia among fans of their previous collaboration.
The reason the cameo has landed so strongly is simple. Varun and Kriti last shared screen space in Bhediya, where he played Bhaskar and she appeared as Dr. Anika Mittal. Their chemistry became one of the film’s most loved takeaways, even as the story left fans emotionally invested in their dynamic. With Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, the two actors are in an entirely different world and playing different characters, yet the visual of them finding their way to each other has given fans the happy, full-circle feeling they were hoping for.
Online chatter around the cameo has been especially affectionate, with many calling it the “perfect Bhediya Reunion.” For a film designed as a big-screen family entertainer, the surprise appearance adds an extra layer of fan-service without taking away from its core story.

The film brings David Dhawan’s familiar zone of romance, confusion, music and comedy back to theatres. Its premise is built around youthful chaos, relationship mix-ups and feel-good family entertainment, with Kriti’s cameo serving as a final surprise for audiences.
Kriti Sanon’s Recent And Upcoming Work
