Krrish 4: Rakesh Roshan Dismisses Hrithik Roshan And Yrf Budget Clash Buzz, Says ‘there Are No Issues’

The noise around Krrish 4 has been getting louder, but Rakesh Roshan has now stepped in with a clear message for fans tracking every move of India’s most loved superhero franchise. After chatter suggested a budget disagreement between Hrithik Roshan and Yash Raj Films, the veteran filmmaker has dismissed the talk and made it clear that the film is moving ahead without friction.

Rakesh Roshan Clears The Air On Krrish 4

Addressing the speculation around the alleged budget clash, Rakesh Roshan said, “It’s all nonsense that Hrithik has asked for a Rs 500 crore budget for top-tier VFX and world-class action for his directorial debut, while YRF wants to cap costs at Rs 350 crores. Making a good film catering to a [wide] audience takes time. Even I have taken time for each of my Krrish offerings.”

The clarification is significant because Krrish 4 marks a major creative shift for the franchise. With Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films joining hands with Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft, the scale of the project has naturally invited intense attention.

Rakesh also addressed the delay in the film going on floors, linking it to Hrithik’s schedule rather than any behind the scenes disagreement. “Krrish is on another planet and we are all waiting for his dates,” he joked.

He further underlined that the collaboration remains on track. “There are no issues; all is smooth. It’s teamwork between Adi, Hrithik, and me,” he said. On the film’s progress, he added, “I will update you when everything is ready.”

What Krrish 4 Brings To The Franchise

Krrish 4 continues the superhero universe that began with Koi… Mil Gaya in 2003, followed by Krrish in 2006 and Krrish 3 in 2013. The new film is being developed as a large scale superhero action spectacle, bringing Hrithik Roshan back to his iconic screen identity as Krishna Mehra and Krrish.

The franchise has always mixed science fiction spectacle with an emotional family story, and that balance remains central to the excitement around the next chapter. For audiences who grew up with Rohit Mehra, Jadoo and Krrish, the fourth instalment carries both nostalgia and the expectation of a more expansive cinematic canvas.

Hrithik Roshan’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Hrithik Roshan’s recent screen phase has remained firmly action driven. He starred as Vedha in Vikram Vedha in 2022, appeared as Kabir in Tiger 3 in 2023, and headlined Siddharth Anand’s aerial action drama Fighter in 2024 with Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. In 2025, he returned as Kabir Dhaliwal in War 2, co-starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr.

On the upcoming front, Krrish 4 is his most closely watched confirmed theatrical project. For an actor whose biggest popular moments have often come from franchise cinema, the return to Krrish carries rare audience emotion, combining superhero nostalgia with the promise of a bigger cinematic leap.
