Kuberaa Box Office: Dhanush & Nagarjuna’s Social Drama Soars on Day 3
The highly acclaimed social drama featuring Dhanush and Nagarjuna, Kuberaa, is still flying high at the box office, and as per early estimates, the film had yet another whopping Day 3 (Sunday) net collection of Rs 19 crore. This would bring the film’s 3-day India total to Rs 49 crore, which is now among the biggest hits of 2025 in the Telugu and Tamil box office segments.
Highest Day Volume to Date
After an impressive first two days’ collections of over Rs 30 crore, Kuberaa had a massive Sunday, given the movie had a rare jump in collections from the previous day. The impressive word of mouth and high occupancy across shows are once again playing a crutch for the film’s very encouraging Sunday.
There were multiple cases of houseful shows at multiplexes for the Dhanush-starrer, and word-of-mouth is positive from audiences and critics alike.
Trade expectations are reporting a rare Sunday volume increase of 60% over Saturday collections, which are rarely seen from movies of its kind, not the least of which is due to the lack of a conventional mass action filming.
Telugu Cinematic Redemption
Telugu cinema has been struggling since Sankranti 2025, and Kuberaa is the much-needed redemption. The Telugu version of the film delivered the majority of the box office total, and with very positive trending across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Kuberaa will own the box office the next week.
Veteran actor Chiranjeevi’s endorsement of Dhanush’s performance — even indicating that it might deserve a National Award — has pushed up the buzz among the audience.
International Box Office and OTT Buzz
In the overseas market too, Kuberaa is shining. It’s already almost at USD 2 million at the US box office and reinforces Dhanush’s considerable international following.
Amazon Prime Video has also bought the digital rights to this film, although when it will go OTT is still under wraps.
The film, which revolves around the life of a beggar being manipulated by an industrialist, has garnered substantial emotional response from audiences. Director Sekhar Kammula, known for his romantic dramas, also shows that he can reinvent himself with gritty social thrillers.
Nagarjuna’s Comeback and Rashmika’s Praise
Nagarjuna can finally sip the pleasing cup of box office success with excitement. Along with Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna, he has received acclaim for his role!! Intensity, range and depth have all been much admired. Nagarjuna’s fans have even labelled it his “best role in a decade”.
A notable window of opportunity exists for Kuberaa with hardly any considerable competition until Kannappa arrives on 27th June. The first 2 weeks of the box office for Kuberaa should be smooth.
