Aamir Khan is turning 60 in coming days and PVR INOX is set to celebrate by re-releasing his iconic films in theatres.

Aamir Khan is turning 60 soon and PVR INOX is gonna celebrate his legacy in a grand manner. They are set to re-release 12 to 13 of his most iconic films in theatres. 

As part of the Aamir Khan Film Festival ‘Cinema Ka Jaadugar’, fans can relive classics like Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Rang De Basanti, Dil Chahta Hai, and PK.

PVR INOX To Re-Release Movies Of Aamir Khan & Much More In March

PVR INOX wants to bring audiences back to cinemas with a mix of old and new films. March is usually a slow month for new releases, but they are making it exciting.

Alongside Aamir Khan’s festival, they are releasing films like The Diplomat, Mickey 17, Snow White, Kingstone, The Day The Earth Blew Up, and Sikandar. Popular regional films like Kumbalangi Nights and Sairat are also returning to theatres.

Ajay Bijli (Managing Director of PVR INOX) praised Aamir Khan for choosing bold and meaningful films. He said that 3 Idiots inspired people to chase excellence over success.

In a Bollywood Hungama report, Sanjeev Kumar Bijli (Executive Director of PVR INOX) confirmed that the festival will start on March 14 during Aamir’s birthday. He hinted at a grand celebration for fans.

Aamir Khan’s Special Connection With PVR INOX

Ajay and Sanjeev Kumar Bijli co-produced Taare Zameen Par and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na with Aamir Khan. Sanjeev called Aamir not just a great actor but a visionary. He credited him for revolutionising storytelling, marketing, and audience engagement.

Re-releasing films started as a way to fill theatre schedules, but it became a hit with audiences. Movies like Rockstar, Laila Majnu, Tumbbad, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Sanam Teri Kasam have drawn big crowds.

PVR INOX now plans to expand this trend, even bringing back Hollywood classics. The success of Interstellar has shown that audiences love rewatching iconic films. They are also considering fan requests to shape future re-releases.

Along with the Aamir Khan festival, PVR INOX is launching March Movie Mania. Gautam Dutta, CEO of Revenue and Operations, described it as a way to bring back the joy of cinema. The campaign will offer a mix of blockbusters, timeless classics, and unique movie experiences for audiences.
