Babil Khan is diving into the dangers of digital life in his latest film Logout. After earning praise for his roles in Qala and The Railway Men, the young actor now plays the lead in this intense mystery thriller. The film explores how social media fame can blur reality, and how obsession can spiral out of control.
Babil Khan Unveils Dark Side of Fame in Thrilling Logout Trailer
On Tuesday, ZEE5 shared the official trailer for Logout on Instagram. It introduces us to Pratyush, a social media influencer who can’t stay off his phone. He’s close to hitting 10 million followers.
But just when things seem perfect, his life flips. A follower steals his phone and starts controlling every part of his world. What begins as a fan moment quickly turns into a terrifying game.
Babil’s character goes from confidence to chaos. As the story unfolds, his digital world becomes a trap. The trailer shows how fast things can fall apart when your whole life lives online.
ZEE5 shared the trailer and wrote, “The lines between what we consume and what consumes us are about to get blurry.”
Amit Golani directs the film, while Biswapati Sarkar handles the writing. Alongside Babil, the cast includes Rasika Dugal, Nimisha Nair, and Gandharv Dewan. Logout mixes suspense with social commentary. It questions how much we depend on our screens and how far people go for attention online.
Here’s What Babil Said About Working On This Tecno-Thriller
Babil opened up about working on the film. He said, “I’m really looking forward to audiences experiencing Logout. The film has already been showcased at several international film festivals, earning great reviews, and now, I can’t wait for its release on ZEE5, where a wider audience will get to see it. This role truly pushed me out of my comfort zone, immersing me in the digital world — a space that’s both fascinating and dangerously unpredictable.”
He also shared, “Playing a modern-day influencer and navigating the complexities of virtual success was a unique challenge, especially since my character is so different from who I am in real life. I’m incredibly proud to be part of a story that feels so relevant today, shedding light on the darker side of our online lives. Logout is an intense, fast-paced thriller, and I can’t wait for viewers to join my character, Pratyush, on this gripping journey.”
Before its digital release, Logout already impressed audiences at global festivals. It was featured at the Indian Film Festival of Stuttgart, Melbourne, and the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival and earned strong reviews.
Logout will premiere on April 18, only on ZEE5.
