On Friday evening, the entire Bachchan family attended the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. While the wedding was a grand affair, the Bachchan family made a striking appearance. Power couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who have been in the news for their alleged separation, sparked further speculation by not arriving together at the wedding.
By dawn on Saturday, Amitabh Bachchan had penned a cryptic note on his blog about ‘lost and forgotten things’. Among these, he mentioned ‘old acquaintances’ and pondered about what baffles him.

Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Back from a glorious wedding and the feeling after a very long time of public exposure, the wealth of love and affection that I can possibly think of with so many old acquaintances. They seemed to have changed in their physiognomy, but extremely sincere in their affection towards the association and the love of our times well spent together.”
“This is what life is all about. The associations and love and care. It is strange how the little things that matter to each other remain, but those that had a deeper association or meaningful spent time, are lost and forgotten. Well, not really forgotten, but kept on the back burner and remembered or brought out only when there is required meaning of the association,” he added.

This grand wedding ceremony took place on July 12. Abhishek arrived with his father, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, and actor-turned-politician mother Jaya Bachchan. Also present were Big B’s daughter Shweta Nanda with her husband Nikhil Nanda and their children Navya Naveli and Agastya, who posed for paparazzi.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya turned heads not only with her presence but also with her attire. The former Miss World looked stunning in a red Anarkali adorned with intricate embroidery and a matching shrug. She accessorised with a choker set and maang tikka. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Aaradhya was dressed in a blue-green printed Anarkali.
Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan’s Relationship
Abhishek and Aishwarya had previously collaborated on Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000 and Umrao Jaan in 2006, during which their bond grew. Recalling their journey, Abhishek once shared on the Oprah Winfrey Show that while filming in New York, he used to stand on his hotel balcony, dreaming of Aishwarya as his wife. Years later, during the premiere of their 2007 film Guru at the same hotel, he took it as a sign and proposed to her. They tied the knot later that year and welcomed Aaradhya in 2011.
