Lost Movie Review: Yami Gautam Shines In An Imperfect & Important Crime Thriller That Resembles To Its Title

It's watchable just because of Yami's stand out skills.

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, ‘Lost’ stars Rahul Khanna, Yami Gautam, Pankaj Kapur etc. Shyamal Sengupta, Ritesh Shah are its writers. It released earlier today on Zee5.

Plot

Yami is seen as a crime reporter called Vidhi Sahani. It showcases an emotional thriller that showcases a higher quest, a discovery for lost values of affinity and integrity. Vidhi gets to know about the missing incident of a young boy, Ishan Bharti (Tushar Pandey). However, he is then called as a member of a radical group and as she gets more specificinto the story, the mystery grows further. With his relationship with Ankita Chauhan (Pia Bajpayee) being excluded of the investigation and her connections with politician Varman (Rahul Khanna), the question emerges if Ishan had truly joined a radical group or if he had been abducted for personal and political interests.

Analysis

Yami delivers impressive performance, while Pankaj Kapur as her grandfather is gracious. He keeps a faith in his granddaughter’s work and seems to be a protective one. The other cast members appear fine in acting.

Verdict

The plot looks bad as many things have been shown at once, making it cumbersome to comprehend. Aniruddha’s this one is predictable like his previous ‘Pink’. Storyline & climax is eventually dissatisfying and unconvincing, respectively. It’s watchable just because of Yami’s stand out skills.
